Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, Chancellor of Baze University, Abuja, on 6th of February, 2026, led a high-powered delegation from the institution on a working visit to the office of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN.
The visit focused on discussions around the proposed Baze University Aviation School, which is planned to be located in Bwari, Abuja. The facility is expected to include its own runway and offer pilot training as well as other aviation-related courses.
Minister Keyamo welcomed the initiative and assured the delegation of the Federal Government’s full cooperation and support toward the successful realization of the project. He further directed the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and relevant aviation agencies to fast-track all necessary bureaucratic processes to ensure the timely take-off of the aviation school.
